[OC Story] Yekaterina's Anecdotes: Dharma Kartika VIII

"I paid for the both of us..."

The tickets were quite expensive, even with all the considerations I made before we even started driving... Let alone two hours ago at the port. Who am I kidding? I have enough money for the both of us! There's just too many things not to spend money on, and I have someone to waste them with as well.

She was staring into the distance, and Parker was beside me... She didn't say a word or anything, but I couldn't get myself to speak. The birds following us on the back of the ferry, the kids running around the ship's deck, and engines roaring in the background, or sounds of metal clacks can be heard around me. Nothing, nothing could distract me from looking at her just enough to see her earrings underneath her hair, sometimes swished by wind alongside mine.

"Yekaterina...? Are you alright...?" She said to me, softly.

I don't know what to focus on. Her hair or the almost 3 million I spent in just two days.

"I'm.... fine." I answered hesitantly.

She didn't think much of it and looked back to the sea. Then she looked at me again as if I said something wrong...

"Hmmm.... was it... I forgot...." Slowly, she started to smile, quite widely I might add. "Thanks.... for today...." "It's been a while since I went outside."
